Pliatsok Khrum with caramel – light coconut cake – delicate custard, sweet caramel (condensed milk), cookies, crispy waffles. Such a braid is prepared very simply and quickly and is suitable for any event. And also . disappears from the table in a matter of minutes.

Pliatsok Hrum with caramel – ingredients

  • For the dough:
  • Squirrels – 6 pieces.
  • Coconut shavings – 200 g.
  • Sugar – 100 g.
  • Salt – a pinch.
  • Almond flakes – 50 g.
  • Khrum with coconut (svitoch) – 5 pieces (26 g each).
  • For the cream:
  • Milk – 2 glasses.
  • Yolks – 6 pieces.
  • Cream (from 30%) – 300 g.
  • Sugar – 100 g.
  • Flour – 1 tbsp.
  • Starch – 3 tbsp.
  • Oil – 220
  • Additionally:
  • Cookies for tiramisu or according to this recipe.
  • Boiled condensed milk – 1 can (it is better to cook it yourself).
  • Krum waffles with coconut – 3 pieces.

Cut the Khrum waffles into cubes.

Beat the egg whites to a stiff foam with a pinch of salt. Add sugar one spoon at a time, beat well after each portion of sugar.

Add coconut shavings and almond flakes, gently mix with a spatula. Add the waffle cubes, mix again.

Cover the form (23×33) with parchment, spread the dough. Bake for 30-40 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees. We are cooling.

Cream

Add egg yolks, flour and starch to an incomplete glass of milk, mix well so that there are no lumps.

Mix the rest of the milk with cream, add sugar and put on fire, bring to a boil. Add the previously prepared mixture to the boiling milk and cream. Stirring constantly, cook the cream until it thickens. Cover the cooked cream with cling film so that it touches the entire surface of the cream. Leave until completely cooled.

Beat the butter to a loose light mass, add the boiled cream in several batches, beat until smooth.

We collect the braid

Spread 2/3 of the cream on the cake, spread the cookies, pressing a little into the cream. Fill the gaps between the cookies with condensed milk. Spread the rest of the cream on top, sprinkle with chopped wafers.

Put the dough in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
