Pliatsok Marzipan

Pliatsok Marzipan – this is poppy and apples wrapped in shortcrust pastry, topped with a delicate nut cream. In fact, we are preparing only two cakes, and we have a multi-layered, very tasty flatbread. Although such baking requires time, but this game is worth those candles

Pliatsok Marzipan – ingredients

  • For the dough:
  • Flour – 500 g.
  • Sugar – 200 g.
  • Butter (margarine) – 250 g.
  • Yolks – 3 pieces.
  • Eggs – 2 pieces.
  • Baking powder – 3 tsp.
  • For the poppy seed mass:
  • Ground poppy seeds – 1,5 cups.
  • Eggs – 5 pieces.
  • Thick jam (any flavor) – 50 g.
  • Raisins – 50 g.
  • Sugar – 200 g.
  • Oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Honey – 2 tbsp.
  • Walnuts, chopped – 50 g.
  • Vanilla sugar – 15-20 g.
  • For apple mass:
  • Apples – 1 kg.
  • Oil – 1 tablespoons
  • Lemon or orange jelly – 2 packages.
  • Additionally:
  • Chocolate glaze.
  • For the cream:
  • Walnuts, ground – 200 g.
  • Sugar – ½ cup.
  • Milk – ½ cup.
  • Oil – 250

Pliatsok Marzipan – recipe

Dough

Mix flour with baking powder, add cubed cold butter, cut with a knife until small butter crumbs are formed. Beat eggs and yolks with a fork together with sugar, add to the “crumbs”, knead the dough.

Divide the dough into 4 parts, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Tortilla with poppy seed mass

Melt the butter, let it cool a little. Add poppy seeds, jam, honey, sugar, vanilla sugar, raisins, nuts and egg yolks. Mix everything well.

Beat the egg whites to a stable foam, carefully mix them into the poppy seed mass.

Cover the form (25×35) with parchment, remove two pieces of dough from the refrigerator, roll out to the size of the form. We put one piece of dough in a form, spread the poppy seed mass on it, level it, cover it with the second rolled out piece of dough.

Bake at a temperature of 180 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Let the cake cool in the form.

Cake with apple mass

Peel the apples, rub them on a coarse grater. Melt butter in a pan, add apples. Stew apples over low heat for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat, add jelly (powder), mix well. Leave until the mass cools down and thickens slightly.

Take the rest of the dough out of the refrigerator, roll it out according to the size of the form, transfer it to the form, put the apples on top, cover with the second piece of dough.

Bake at a temperature of 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Cool the cake in the form.

Cream

Add sugar to milk, bring to a boil, add nuts, mix well, leave to cool.

Beat the butter to a soft creamy mass, add nuts in portions and beat to a homogeneous mass.

We collect the braid

Spread the cream on the poppy seed cake, level it, and cover with the apple cake.

We make a glaze from this recipe, pour over the cake.
