Smakota (SmakotaInfo.com) offers an unusual recipe for “Spartacus” bread (liquid). Why unusual? Because you don’t need to puff over each cake during cooking. We bake 8-10 “Spartacus” flat cakes easily and affordably, applying them with a spoon (because the mass we get is thin).

Pliatsok “Spartacus” (liquid) – ingredients

  • For the dough:
  • eggs – 6 pcs.
  • flour – 2 cups.
  • sugar – 2 cups.
  • butter – 200 g.
  • cocoa – 6 tablespoons
  • sour cream – 5 tbsp.
  • soda – 1 tbsp.
  • vinegar to quench the soda.
  • For the cream:
  • milk – 0,5 l.
  • sugar – 1,5 cups.
  • flour – 2 tbsp.
  • starch – 2 tbsp.
  • butter – 300-350 g.

Pliatsok “Spartacus” (liquid) – cooking recipe

To prepare “Spartacus” bread (liquid), you need to take 6 eggs, wash them with water. Separate yolks and whites in separate vessels. Beat 6 egg whites with 2 cups of sugar into thick foam with a mixer. To make the foam thick, soak the whisks in vinegar. Add 6 yolks one at a time and beat everything again. Melt the butter until liquid, add it to the beaten eggs. We add cocoa one spoonful at a time, then sour cream – we also add it to our mixture. Soda is next – pre-extinguish the soda with vinegar. And finally, flour. We beat everything to a homogeneous mass. Place in a container with parchment paper. Grease the parchment with oil. Bake in the oven until done. Output – 8-10 cakes.

Prepare the custard: divide the milk into two containers of 0,25 l each. Add 1,5 cups of sugar to one container, heat and stir so that the sugar melts. In another container, add flour and starch, mix everything well (you can use a mixer) to a homogeneous mass. (milk should be boiled and cold). We combine the cold mixture with the hot one, continue to stir on very low heat. Stir so that the mixture does not curdle. Cook until the liquid thickens. Let our cream cool down.

Beat the butter with a mixer, add our cooked cream one small spoonful at a time.

Spread cream over cold cakes. You can decorate the top with chocolate glaze or the same cream. Everything depends on imagination. Spartak “Spartacus” (liquid) is ready!
