Poppy cake with pineapples

We offer you a delicious Poppy cake with pineapples. A cake that will please even the most picky gourmets. Delicate protein-poppy cakes go well with creamy lemon cream and pineapples. This cake is worth making, because its taste and appearance are magical.

Poppy cake with pineapples – ingredients

  • For one cake:
  • Squirrels – 4 pieces.
  • Sugar – 1/2 cup.
  • Vinegar – 1 tsp.
  • Flour – 1 tbsp.
  • Starch – 1 tbsp.
  • Dry ground poppy seeds – 3 tablespoons (with the tuber).
  • Salt – a pinch.
  • For the cream:
  • Cream (from 30%) – 500 ml.
  • Powdered sugar – to taste (it is possible without it).
  • Jelly lemon – 2 packages.
  • Water – 500 ml.
  • Pineapple – 1 can.
  • Additionally:
  • Plum jam.
  • Chocolate – 50 g.

Beat the egg whites with salt to a stable foam, add sugar one spoon at a time, beat well each time. Pour vinegar, beat briefly.

Mix flour, starch and poppy seeds, add them to the beaten proteins, carefully mix with a spatula.

We cover the form (24×24) with parchment, spread the dough, level it. Bake in an oven heated to 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.

We prepare the second cake in the same way. Leave to cool.


Dissolve the jelly in hot water, leave to cool and slightly thicken (it still runs off the spoon, but no longer water).

Drain the pineapple from the syrup, cut it into small cubes.

Beat the well-chilled cream to a fluffy, thick cream, add powdered sugar, beat again briefly.

Add jelly without stopping to beat. At the end, add chopped pineapple, mix.

Put one of the cakes back in the form, spread the cream, level it, cover with the second cake. Put in the refrigerator until completely solidified.

The top of the cake is smeared with plum jam and sprinkled with grated chocolate.
