Tasty and hearty potato casserole with cabbage and meat. It is very suitable for a family dinner or lunch.

Potato casserole with cabbage and meat – ingredients

  • Potatoes – 1 kg.
  • Pork, ground – 1 kg.
  • Savoy cabbage – 500 g.
  • Onion – 1 piece.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves.
  • Bay leaf – 2 pieces.
  • Allspice – 3 pieces.
  • Marjoram – 1 tsp.
  • Cream (from 30%) – ½ cup.
  • Salt pepper.
  • Seasonings for meat.
  • Seasonings for potatoes.
  • Cheese – 150 g.
  • Oil.

Potato casserole with cabbage and meat – recipe

Cut the potato into half rings and fry in a small amount of oil. Salt and add seasonings to the potatoes. Lubricate the baking dish with oil, lay out the potatoes, level them.

Lightly fry the minced meat, just until it changes color. Add garlic pressed through a garlic press, salt, pepper, spices to the meat. Place on top of the potatoes.

Cut the onion into half rings, put it in a pan together with a bay leaf and allspice, fry it for a few minutes in a small amount of oil. Add shredded cabbage, fry until the cabbage reduces in volume. Add cream and marjoram, stew until soft, salt and pepper to taste. We translate it into a form.

Rub the cheese on top, cover the mold with a lid or foil.

Bake in the oven at a temperature of 180 degrees for about 50 minutes. 15 minutes before the end of baking, remove the lid to bake the cheese.
