Potatoes are a frequent guest in our kitchen. Found in many dishes. Smakota (Smakotainfo.com) suggests cooking potato casserole with zucchini and cheese. A juicy casserole made from simple ingredients will taste good for lunch or dinner. Very easy and quick to prepare. Just prepare everything and send it to the oven.

Ingredients for potato casserole with zucchini and cheese:

  • potatoes – 0,5 kg.
  • zucchini – 0,5 kg.
  • Cheddar cheese – 200 g.
  • milk – 150 g.
  • butter – 2 tbsp.
  • egg yolks – 2 pcs.
  • dill – to taste.
  • salt, ground black pepper – to taste.

Cooking potato casserole with zucchini and cheese:

We choose potatoes, wash well, clean, boil. Make puree by adding milk, butter, salt, pepper. We separate the yolks from the proteins. Beat the yolks, add part of the grated cheese. The resulting mixture is added to the puree.

Zucchini we choose small, elongated ones (even young ones are better). Wash and cut into circles. Salt and pepper to taste. Wash, dry and finely chop the dill. Now whip the whites into a stiff foam and carefully introduce them into the puree.

Let’s choose a form for baking potato casserole with zucchini and cheese. Lubricate it with oil. We put everything in the form in layers: put zucchini on the bottom of the form, sprinkle them with dill, put a layer of puree on top, then zucchini again and so on. We finish with a layer of puree, which we sprinkle with the remaining grated cheese.

Heat the oven to 180 ° C. Put the mold in the oven and bake for up to 35 minutes.
