Potato dumplings

Smakota (Smakotainfo.com) offers to prepare a Ukrainian national dish – potato dumplings. Ukrainian dumplings are prepared with various ingredients, today we will prepare their potato version. Dumplings can be served as a separate dish with butter and sour cream. And you can serve them as a side dish.

Potato dumpling recipe

  • Potatoes – 500 g.
  • Eggs – 2 pieces.
  • Flour – 5-6 tbsp.
  • Salt pepper.

We boil the potatoes in their “uniforms”, cool them, rub them on a carrot grater or grind them. Add beaten eggs, flour, salt and pepper to the potatoes, mix well.

Now we form dumplings. You can form sausages and cut them into slices, or you can squeeze out small “fingers”. Drop the dumplings into boiling salted water and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Ready-made dumplings can be poured with oil, seasoned with oil-fried onions, cracklings, poured with sour cream. As you prefer.
