Potato pie with three fillings

We offer a recipe for cooking a hearty meal potato pie with three fillings. The pie can be made with three fillings, as suggested in the recipe, or it can be made with one or two. You can also experiment by adding some of your favorite ingredients. Mushrooms will give the pie a delicate aroma and freshness, minced meat will add richness to the dish, and eggs with green onions will add a bright color to the potato pie. You can eat it both warm and cold.

Ingredients for making a potato pie with three fillings:

  • potatoes – 1 kg.
  • flour – 4 tbsp.
  • mushrooms – 500 g.
  • green onion – 100 g.
  • eggs – 6 pcs.
  • oil – 150 g.
  • oil – 3 tbsp.
  • aromatic pepper, black ground – to taste.
  • salt – to taste.
  • ground coriander – to taste.
  • onion – 2 pcs.
  • garlic – to taste.
  • minced meat – 400 g.

Cooking a potato pie with three fillings:

Wash the potatoes with water, peel them. Boil in salted water until ready. While the potatoes are cooking, prepare the filling.

Hard-boil 3 eggs in salted water. When they are ripe, clean and cut into cubes. Wash and dry green onions. Cut finely. Combine green onions with chopped eggs, season with melted butter (50g).

Peel and cut the onion into rings, fry in oil (2 tablespoons). Wash, dry and clean the mushrooms. Finely chop and add to the onion. Fry until all the liquid evaporates. Salt, pepper, add coriander to taste.

Cut the second onion and fry it in a separate pan, add minced meat to it. Mix everything thoroughly and add salt and pepper. Fry the minced meat until ready.

When the potatoes are ready, drain the water, add butter (70g) and knead well. Beat 2 whole eggs and 1 egg white and add to potatoes. Mix everything well. Add flour and knead a not thick dough (leave the yolk and 30 g of butter for greasing the pie).

We prepare a removable form, grease it with oil or butter. We put the potato dough in the form, forming the sides. A tablespoon dipped in water will help to form the edges. We leave a little potato dough on the “lid” of the pie.

We lay out the fillings to our taste and discretion. Minced meat, egg with onion, mushrooms.

Cover the filling with a “lid” made of potato dough. Brush the top of the dough with beaten egg yolk. (You can add 30 g of butter to the yolk).

Preheat the oven to 200 °C and bake the potato cake until ready for 20 minutes. To make the top golden, you can turn on the grill.
