Potato soup with beans it is very useful to eat in the spring, because it contains many B vitamins, which actively fight depression. This soup is made from red beans, which has many advantages, but has one drawback – it takes a long time to cook. To shorten the cooking time, soak the beans overnight in water and put them in a cold place so that the beans do not turn sour. Before cooking, drain and wash the beans. Canned beans in tomato sauce can be used to make soup faster.

Recipe for potato soup with beans

  • potatoes – 400 g.
  • beef – 250 g.
  • cabbage – 100 g.
  • beans – 100 g.
  • onion – 1 piece.
  • carrot – 1 piece.
  • pepper.
  • salt.
  • oil.
  • tomato paste.

First, cut the meat and boil it for 1 hour in salted water. Add pre-prepared beans to the semi-finished meat and cook for another 40 minutes until fully cooked. When the beans are almost ready, add cubed potatoes and chopped cabbage to the broth. Cook the soup for another 10 minutes.

Cut the onion, grate the carrot and fry the vegetables in oil with the addition of tomato paste and simmer for another 5 minutes. Pour the contents of the pan into the soup, salt and pepper the soup to taste, cook until the potatoes are fully cooked.
