Turn on the oven at 170 C. Remove the pits from the dates, cut into pieces.

Mix pumpkin, vegetable oil, orange juice, sugar, zest and dates, mix. Mix flour with baking powder, add to the pumpkin, knead the dough.

Grease the molds with vegetable oil, sprinkle the bottom and sides with almond slices. Spread the dough to the middle of the forms.

Leave the cupcakes to bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes. Check readiness with a wooden skewer.

Remove the cupcakes from the mold, let them cool, wrap them in cling film and leave them to ripen overnight. You can decorate with chocolate and oranges.
