Quick meadnik with prunes

Today we will cook with you quick mead with prunes. The pie is prepared very quickly, and it turns out tender and very tasty with a light caramel-cream note.

Quick honey pot with prunes – ingredients

  • For the cake:
  • Honey (liquid) – 2 tbsp.
  • Soda – 1 tsp
  • Eggs – 2 pieces.
  • Flour – 1 cup and a little more.
  • Butter – 100 g and more for greasing the mold.
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp.
  • For the cream:
  • Sour cream (thick) – 600 ml.
  • Prunes – 1/2 cup, preferably dried and soft.
  • Sugar – 100 g.
  • For registration:
  • Nuts or grated chocolate.

Quick honey jar with prunes – preparation

Pour honey into a saucepan, sprinkle with soda, put on the lowest heat. Stir constantly until the mixture foams and turns a bright golden color (about 2 minutes). Remove from heat and add butter cut into small pieces.

While the butter is melting, beat the eggs with sugar. Mix well the honey-butter mixture, add eggs and flour to it. The dough should be like thick sour cream.

We grease the form (22 cm) with oil and sprinkle with flour. Pour the dough and put it in the oven for 25-30 minutes at a temperature of 160 degrees. We check readiness with a wooden stick.

While the cake is baking in the oven, we will prepare the cream.

Cut prunes into pieces of your favorite shape.

Beat sour cream with sugar, divide the cream into 2 parts, add prunes to one and mix well.

Remove the finished cake from the removable form, immediately cut it into 2 parts. Spread the bottom cake immediately (hot) with half of the cream with prunes. When the cake cools down a little, grease it with the second part of cream with prunes.

Cover with the second cake and spread the rest of the sour cream on top (without prunes), grease the sides. Decorate the top with grated chocolate or chopped nuts.

We leave the honey jar for an hour (or more). And we taste it ourselves and treat the whole family.
