Roast beef with mustard sauce

Are you expecting guests for the weekend, but don’t know what to surprise them with? For a snack, you can offer a light vegetable salad with cheese, for the first green borscht, and for the second roast beef with mustard sauce. A tasty and nutritious meat dish will definitely be remembered by your friends! And for dessert, we advise you to prepare tiramisu.

Cooking roast beef with mustard sauce

Preheat the oven to 220 ° C. Wash the meat and dry it with a paper towel.

Grind pepper and salt in a mortar, add 2 tbsp. l. olive oil. Rub the meat with this mixture. In a well-heated pan, fry the meat on all sides until golden brown. Place on a plate and let the meat “rest” for 5-10 minutes.

Peel and chop the garlic, mix with 1 tbsp. l. mustard and grease the meat. Put the meat in a container for stewing or a deep tray and bake at a temperature of 220 ° C for 10 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 150 ° C and bake for another 30-40 minutes. Chop all the mint.

Squeeze juice from half a lemon.

Prepare the sauce

Yolks from 1 tbsp. l. whisk mustard and lemon juice with a small whisk, then, without stopping whisking, pour in 100 ml of olive oil in a thin stream. Add most of the mint to the thickened sauce. Sprinkle the roast beef with the rest of the mint and serve with mustard sauce.

  2. Karkade tea.
  3. Pomegranate juice.
