Rum woman
Fragrant, luxurious rum woman causes a wild appetite with its appearance alone. All subtleties of preparation are indicated in the proposed recipe rum woman, so that it came out flawless.
Rum baba – ingredients
- For the dough:
- Wheat flour – 950 g.
- Milk – 375ml.
- Butter – 150 g.
- Sugar – 100 g.
- Eggs – 10 pcs.
- Dry yeast – 4 tsp.
- Salt – 1/2 tsp.
- For the syrup:
- Water – 400 ml.
- Sugar – 200 g.
- Rum/cognac – 100 ml.
- For the glaze
- Squirrels – 2 pcs.
- Sugar – 1,5 cups.

The recipe for making rum baba
Let’s start cooking rum woman. It is important that all the ingredients for cooking rum women were at room temperature, milk was warm, but not hot. Pour the yeast into the milk and stir. Also pour in half of the sifted flour, knead the dough until smooth and leave it warm until it rises. Thus, we have prepared the preparation for rum woman.
Now grind the softened butter with sugar, beat the eggs, setting aside 2 egg whites for the glaze (keep them in the cold). Combine the egg mass with the grated butter and beat everything together until smooth.
Pour the prepared egg-butter mixture into the prepared dough in parts and mix until smooth. Also pour in the rest of the sifted flour, mix the dough for rum woman and leave it warm for 1 hour.
It can also be added to the dough for rum woman pre-soaked raisins, dried apricots or candied fruit.
Spread the finished dough in 250 g molds and leave to “rest” for 30 minutes. Bake at 200 degrees in the oven for 20-30 minutes. Ready rum women remove from molds.
Now we will prepare the syrup for rum women. For the syrup, bring water to a boil, add sugar, dissolve it, bring to a boil again, cool the mixture to about 20 degrees, pour rum and mix. Dip one at a time rum women in syrup and keep them there for 5 minutes on each side. Then put them on a plate.
Prepare the glaze for rum women. Beat the cold egg whites, set aside at the beginning for the glaze, without anything into a stiff, lush mixture. Then gradually, while continuing to beat, add sugar.
