Salad with cauliflower and ham

Cauliflower, mild goat cheese and spicy Italian prosciutto taste fantastic together. Try this Italian one salad with cauliflower and ham – and you will definitely have a culinary masterpiece. Moreover, the components can be replaced with those that are easier to find. Experiment.

Salad with cauliflower and ham – ingredients

  • cauliflower – 0,5 heads.
  • Brussels sprouts – 200 g.
  • prosciutto (Italian ham) – 6 strips.
  • garlic – 4 cloves.
  • goat cheese – 2 tbsp.
  • olive oil – 3 tbsp.
  • salt and ground black pepper – to taste.

Salad with cauliflower and ham – recipe

Cut the cauliflower and Brussels sprouts into thin slices.

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a deep skillet or saucepan over medium heat.

Add the prosciutto to the oil. If it is too exotic for you, you can easily replace this type of ham with ordinary smoked or raw meat. Mandatory requirement: the meat must be dry enough and not too fatty. Perfect – with a piquant spicy taste.

Cook the ham for 1-2 minutes on each side until slightly crispy. Pull the meat out on a paper towel, or it did not absorb excess fat and dried out.

Now put the cabbage in the same pan. Pour the remaining oil on top. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly. After that, add chopped garlic and keep the vegetable mixture on fire for another 1 minute.

Crumble the goat cheese, or feta or cheese, directly on top of the cabbage and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until the ingredients begin to “come together.”

Transfer the warm salad to a plate, spread the prosciutto on top. And only at this stage, salt and pepper the dish.
