Salad with corn, bacon and honey – ingredients

  • bacon – 4-5 thinly sliced ​​strips.
  • medium-sized shallot – 1 pc.
  • corn (frozen or canned) – 3 cups (approximately 550 g).
  • fresh thyme – 1 sprig.
  • wine vinegar – 2 tbsp.
  • honey – 1 tbsp.

Defrost the corn. Or use canned.

Fry the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat on both sides until crisp. After that, take it out on a paper towel so that there is no excess fat in the dish.

In another pan, cook shallots and thyme in olive oil for 2-3 minutes. It is necessary to constantly stir the products slightly.

Add the corn and vinegar to the pan. Ideally, use sherry vinegar, but if not, use regular red wine vinegar.

Cook for another 4-5 minutes. After that, remove the pan from the heat and mix the vegetables with honey and bacon cut into small pieces (2-3 cm) in a large bowl.
