Seafood soup

Shrimp, squid, scallops, octopus, mussels are extremely tasty and healthy seafood. They are rich in protein, iodine, vitamin D and B vitamins, omega-3 and omega-6 acids, phosphorus, sulfur, sodium, magnesium, and zinc. Low-calorie products with an exquisite taste and aroma will nicely diversify your diet. Every housewife can make soup, the main thing is to choose fresh products.

Seafood soup – ingredients

  • Mussels in shells – 500 g.
  • Seafood cocktail (squid, octopus, etc.) – 350 g.
  • Onion – 2 pc.
  • Garlic – 3 cloves.
  • Celery root – 1 pc.
  • Sunflower oil.
  • Sea salt, peppercorns (fragrant and black).
  • Dill greens.

Seafood soup – recipe

Rinse the mussel shells under cold water, remove dirt with a knife. Pour water in a large saucepan and cook for 3 minutes. until the shells open.

Strain the broth. We take out the mussels, remove the upper part of the shell and small algae from the middle. We throw away those that have not opened.

Finely chop the onion, garlic and celery root. Fry in oil until transparent.

We put the broth on the fire again, add salt and a couple of peppercorns.

Add fried vegetables and seafood mixture. Cook for 15 minutes.

A few minutes before removing from the heat, add the previously boiled mussels to warm them up.

Serve the soup hot and garnish with chopped greens.
