Simple apricot jam

Smakota (Smakotainfo.com) offers to prepare a delicious thick apricot jam. There is nothing complicated in making apricot jam and it is prepared relatively quickly.

A recipe for making simple apricot jam

  • citric acid – on the tip of a knife.
  • apricots – 1 kg.

Wash the apricots, cut them in half and remove the pits. Put the halves in a pan, pour water. Cook over medium heat until the apricots are soft, stirring occasionally.

Rub the apricots through a sieve. This manipulation is carried out to obtain a uniform consistency. You can just beat it with a blender or run it through a meat grinder, but then there will be small pieces of apricot and skins in the jam.

Pour the mass back into the pan, add sugar and citric acid. Cook for 1,5-2 hours, stirring and removing the foam. Pour the hot jam into sterile jars, seal tightly, cool and open one jar per sample.
