Simple yeast bagels (like puff pastry) – delicious, fairly easy-to-prepare bagels, which in taste and appearance are very similar to puff pastry bagels. However, the dough, which we will use is much easier to prepare, is kneaded very quickly. And the result will pleasantly surprise us.

Simple yeast bagels (like puff pastry) – ingredients

  • Flour – 300 g.
  • Dry yeast – 1 tsp.
  • Egg – 1 piece.
  • Milk – 150 ml.
  • Sugar – 1 tsp.
  • Salt is a pinch.
  • Oil – 50
  • Any filling – jam (must be thick), marmalade, chocolate cream, boiled condensed milk.
  • For the icing:
  • Powdered sugar – 1 tbsp.
  • Water – 1 tbsp.

Baguettes – a recipe for cooking

Pour dry yeast, sugar and salt into warm milk.

We sift the flour, add milk with yeast and flour, knead the dough.

Divide into 8 equal parts, form balls. Roll each ball into a pancake with a diameter of ± 11 cm.

Divide the softened butter into 7 parts, grease the pancakes one by one and stack them on top of each other. Do not grease the top pancake.

We roll out the resulting “pile” of dough to form a large, thin circle (diameter ± 40 cm). We cut the formed circle into 16 sectors (triangles) with a knife. We spread the filling on the wider part. We wrap the baguette.

We spread the rolled bagels on a form covered with parchment, leave in a warm place for 30 minutes.

Lubricate bagels with powder mixed with water. Put in an oven heated to 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
