Soft cookies with ginger and cloves – ingredients

  • Flour – 2 cups.
  • Ground cloves – 1 tsp.
  • Ground ginger – 1 tsp.
  • Baking powder – 1 tsp.
  • Salt – ½ tsp.
  • Oil – 170
  • Sugar – 170 g.
  • Egg – 1 piece.
  • Molasses (or liquid honey) – 50 ml.
  • Brown sugar – ½ cup.

Soft cookies with ginger and cloves – recipe

Mix flour with cloves, ginger, baking powder and salt.

Beat butter with sugar to a white creamy mass. Add egg, beat until smooth. Add molasses (honey), continue to beat. Add dry ingredients, knead the dough.

Form balls in your hands (the dough may slightly stick to your hands, but not strongly). Roll the balls of dough in brown sugar, place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment, with large gaps, and lightly press the balls with your hands.

Bake cookies at a temperature of 180 degrees for about 8-10 minutes.
