A delicious spicy soup with the aroma of smoked meats, which will turn out quite dry and even more like a stew. But this is still the first course. Soup with lentils and spicy sausages in a pot even those who don’t like to mess around in the kitchen will be able to cook it. Ceramic or earthenware and an oven will do their job without you. This recipe is the perfect way out for those who are always busy and a little lazy ;).

Soup with lentils and spicy sausages in a pot – ingredients

  • For two pots with a volume of 500 milliliters, we take:
  • lentils – 1 cup (250 ml).
  • spicy smoked sausages – 2-3 pcs.
  • tomato juice – 250 ml.
  • water – 450-500 ml.
  • onion – 1 pcs.
  • carrots – 1 pcs.
  • sweet pepper – 1 pc.
  • potatoes – 2 pcs.
  • garlic – 2 cloves.
  • salt, ground red pepper – to taste.

Cut the vegetables. A large onion – in cubes, carrots – in circles, pepper and potatoes – also in cubes.

Sausages are cut into circles, the thickness of which can be chosen according to your wish.

We heat the oven to full power. We take pots and lay out the ingredients in layers in the following order: washed lentils, potatoes, onions, carrots, pepper, a whole clove of garlic.

Pour tomato juice and water. We put it in the oven and wait until the contents of the pots start bubbling. After boiling, cover with a lid and reduce the heat to a minimum.

We cook the soup for about 2 hours. This time should be enough for the lentils to cook and become soft.

We take it out of the oven and serve it to the table either directly in pots, or after pouring the soup onto plates. You can decorate the top with greens. Bon appetit!
