Spartacus playground. Proven recipe

Today, Smakota ( offers to prepare an extremely delicious chocolate “Spartak” playground. It is prepared from absolutely simple and affordable products, and the taste is very delicate and extremely chocolatey.

During preparation of “Spartacus” pie be careful with the flour, don’t overmix it, because then the dough will be too hard. It should be soft and slightly sticky. When you divide the dough into parts, cover the pieces that you are not working with with a film so that the dough does not dry out.

The recipe for cooking “Spartacus” flatbread

  • For the dough (for 8 cakes):
  • Oil – 100
  • 10% cream – 2-3 tbsp.
  • Eggs – 2 pieces.
  • Cocoa powder – 20 g.
  • Honey – 2 tbsp.
  • Flour – 450 g.
  • Sugar – 200 g.
  • Soda – 1,5 tsp
  • For the cream:
  • Flour – 3 tbsp.
  • Yolks – 3 pieces.
  • Milk – 500 ml.
  • Sugar – 200 g.
  • Oil – 200
  • Vanilla sugar – 5 g.
  • For the icing:
  • Sugar – 4 tbsp.
  • Water – 6 tbsp.
  • Cocoa powder – 20 g.
  • Oil – 30

Melt the butter in a saucepan, add sugar, honey and cocoa, cream and beaten eggs, mix everything well, cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved.

When the sugar is completely dissolved, add soda, cook until the mass increases by three times, remove from the heat. Knead a thick dough by adding flour in parts. Pour the remaining flour, spread the dough and knead a soft, smooth dough.

We make a sausage from the dough and divide it into 8 equal parts. Cover the dough with a film so that it does not dry out. Lightly sprinkle the work surface with flour, roll out one piece of dough into a rectangular layer 2 mm thick. We roll the rolled out layer on a rolling pin and transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment.

Bake the cakes in an oven heated to 180 degrees for 3-5 minutes. When all the cakes are baked, we start preparing the cream.

Beat egg yolks with sugar in a saucepan, add flour, mix, pour milk in parts, mix until smooth. We put it on a small fire, cook until it thickens, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add vanilla sugar. Cover with film and leave to cool completely. In a separate bowl, beat softened butter with sugar into a loose mass. While continuing to beat, add custard in parts, beat until smooth. Spread the cream on the cakes with cream.

Now we prepare the glaze. Melt butter in a pan, add sugar, water, and cocoa. Cook over low heat, stirring so that there are no lumps, for about a minute. Carefully pour the glaze over the top cake. Put “Spartak” in the refrigerator for 6 hours for impregnation. We decorate at our discretion, you can do without decorations :).

Cut the finished flatbread into rectangular pieces and serve to the table.
