Simple in preparation and ingredients, tender and tasty pie with cherries. True, such a braid requires a lot of time for itself. Believe me, it is worth it. Original cakes with cherry meringue and cherry berries, smeared with a simple but very tasty cream, that’s actually its whole secret.

Pie with cherries – ingredients

  • For the dough:
  • Flour – 3,5 cups.
  • Oil – 250
  • Yolks – 6 pieces.
  • Sour cream (fat) – 1 cup.
  • Powdered sugar – ½ cup.
  • Baking powder – 3 tsp.
  • For jelly mass:
  • Squirrels – 6 pieces.
  • Sugar – 6 tbsp.
  • Cherry jelly – 3 packages (powder).
  • Cherry pitted from compote.
  • For the cream:
  • Milk – 3 glasses.
  • Vanilla pudding – 2 packages.
  • Oil – 250
  • Sugar – 6 tbsp.
  • Additionally:
  • Powdered sugar.

Pliatsok with cherries – preparation


Sift flour together with powdered sugar and baking powder. Add solid butter cut into cubes. Cut with a knife until you get oily fine crumbs. Make a well in the crumb, add yolks and sour cream, knead the dough.

Divide the dough into 6 equal parts. Place in a bowl, cover with cling film and put in the fridge for an hour.

We line the form (22×25) with parchment, roll out one part of the dough, transfer it to the form (you can roll the dough immediately on the parchment and then transfer it to the form together with it). We put the form in the refrigerator.

We will make this mass three times. The process of preparing each is the same.

Beat two egg whites until stiff foam, add sugar one spoon at a time (only 2 tablespoons), beat well after each spoonful of sugar. Pour in a packet of jelly, beat well for about two minutes.

We take out the form with the dough from the refrigerator, spread the jelly mass, and on top (not very thickly) spread the pitted cherry.

Take out another piece of dough from the refrigerator, quickly roll it out and spread it on top of the jelly mass with cherries.

Bake in an oven heated to 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

Bake 2 more cakes in the same way.


Dissolve the pudding in a glass of milk, mix well so that there are no lumps. Bring the rest of the milk to a boil, pour in the sugar, and pour in the diluted pudding. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Cover the pudding with cling film so that it touches the entire surface of the pudding. Leave to cool.

Beat the butter until smooth, add the cooled pudding in several stages, beat until smooth.

We collect the braid

Spread half of the cream on one of the cakes, cover with the second cake, press lightly, spread the rest of the cream, level, cover with the third cake, press lightly.

Sprinkle powdered sugar on top of the rolls.
