A recipe for steamed honey gingerbread with walnuts

  • Chicken egg – 1 piece.
  • Butter – 50 g.
  • Honey (thick, bitter) – 1 tbsp.
  • Sugar – ½ cup.
  • Soda – ½ tsp.
  • Flour – 2 cups.
  • Walnuts – ½ cup.

To begin with, it is necessary to grind half a glass of walnuts either with a blender or with a knife. Knead the dough: put one egg, 50 g of butter in a separate bowl, add a spoonful of honey and sugar. Place the pan with the contents in a water bath. Stirring constantly, bring the mass to homogeneity.

Then add half a teaspoon of soda and stir until the mass thickens. Next, remove the pan from the water bath, add flour and mix well.

At the very end, add chopped nuts, mix them into the dough. Now, wetting your hands with water and scooping the dough with a tablespoon, roll the balls. Put the balls at a short distance from each other in a steamer or in a bowl for steaming from a multicooker.

Cook for 40 minutes.

Allow the finished gingerbread to cool and serve.
