Stew with pumpkin and meatballs

Stew with pumpkin unusually tasty dish. Smakota ( suggests cooking a very simple and tasty stew with meatballs.

For meatballs, we recommend using mixed minced meat (beef + pork) with the addition of onions, garlic, greens and spices to taste. Cut all the vegetables into large pieces. That way, the taste of each vegetable will be better felt. Juicy and aromatic stew with pumpkin very filling

Ingredients for cooking stew with pumpkin

  • pumpkin – 300 g.
  • potatoes – 1 kg.
  • oil – 50 ml.
  • carrots – 3 pcs.
  • onion – 3 pcs.
  • tomato ketchup – 2 tbsp.
  • garlic – 3 cloves.
  • flour – 2 tbsp.
  • minced meat – 500 g.
  • greens – to taste.
  • salt – to taste.
  • chicken eggs – 1 pcs.
  • ground black pepper – to taste.

Preparation of stew stewed with pumpkin and meatballs:

For meatballs, mix minced meat with egg, greens and spices. Beat the minced meat.

Form small meatballs (to your taste) for stew with pumpkin. We bread them in flour, fry them in a pan with oil on both sides. Place the fried meatballs in a container.

Finely chop the onion and fry in a pan until golden.

Cut the carrot and pumpkin into cubes and add to the onion to fry. Fry the vegetables until ready, stirring constantly.

Add ketchup. We stew a little more.

Wash, peel and cut the potatoes into squares. We boil.

Put the vegetables from the pan into a pot with potatoes, season. Mix everything well and simmer under the lid until ready.

5 minutes before readiness, lay out the meatballs. Add garlic and bay leaf. We stew.
