Stewed liver in sour cream

Stewed liver in sour cream – an ideal option for a family lunch or dinner. Much has been said about the benefits of liver in nutrition. It is worth repeating and reminding that it is useful for both adults and children.

Today we will cook with you stewed liver in sour cream. The liver prepared according to this recipe is tender and soft, and the sour cream sauce with spices gives it an unusual pleasant taste.

Stewed liver in sour cream – ingredients

  • Beef liver – 400 g.
  • Onion – 1 piece.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves.
  • Sour cream – 5 tbsp.
  • Oil – 2 tbsp.
  • Flour – 1 tbsp.
  • Sugar – 1 tsp.
  • Salt, pepper – to taste.
  • Ground nutmeg – ½ tsp.
  • Sweet paprika – 1 tsp.
  • Ground coriander – ½ tsp.
  • Chopped dill – 1 tsp.

Stewed liver in sour cream – recipe

Clean the onion, cut into thin quarter rings.

Pour boiling water over the liver, remove the film. Cut into thin strips.

We put the liver on a heated pan, stirring constantly, stew until the liquid evaporates. Add oil, onion, crushed garlic and all spices (except salt and pepper). Simmer for another 5 minutes.

Add 100 ml of water, cover with a lid and simmer for another 10 minutes.

Add sour cream, salt and pepper.

Add flour to ½ cup of water, mix well so that there are no lumps, pour into the liver, simmer until thickened. Remove the pan from the heat, let the liver infuse for 10-15 minutes, serve with your favorite side dish.
