Necessary products for making strawberry jam

  • Strawberries – 1,2 kg.
  • Sugar – 600-700 g.
  • Thickener based on pectin – 1 bag.

Preparation of strawberry jam

1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly and remove the stems.

2. Put strawberries in pieces in a blender and blend thoroughly.

3. Pour the strawberry mixture into a container, put it on the stove and bring it to a boil. We add the entire bag of thickener.

4. Mix everything thoroughly and put it back on the stove. Bring to a boil and add sugar.

5. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, be sure to stir.

6. Pour the finished hot jam into sterilized jars and screw on the lids.

7. In addition to the thickener that I used, you can take Gelfix, Agar-Agar, they are also based on apple pectin. We take sugar to taste, if we like very sweet, then we take 700-800 g of sugar, if moderately sweet jam, then 600 g will be enough.

Strawberry jam is ready.
