Dedicated to all strawberry lovers! Strawberry open pie – a sensational mega strawberry pie. Thin, crispy shortbread and delicious strawberry filling. Such a cake is prepared very quickly and simply. We advise you to cook!

Strawberry open pie – ingredients

  • For the dough:
  • Flour – 200 g.
  • Oil – 100
  • Egg – 1 piece.
  • Salt – a pinch.
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp.
  • Water – 3 tbsp.
    For the filling:
  • Strawberries – 1 kg.
  • Sugar – 150 g.
  • Starch – 3 tbsp.
  • Water – ½ cup.
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp.
  • Additionally:
  • A package of peas, buckwheat or rice.

Strawberry open pie – cooking recipe

Dough

Mix flour, sugar and salt, add cubed cold butter, cut with a knife until small butter crumbs are formed.

Add egg and water to the crumbs, knead the dough.

We put the dough in a greased baking dish (d=24 cm), form the sides. We put the form with the dough in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.

Take the dough out of the refrigerator, cover with parchment, pour peas or other cereals. Bake at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Remove the finished cake from the oven, remove the parchment with the cereal, leave to cool.

Filling

Cut the washed and peeled strawberries into small pieces.

Add sugar to half of the strawberries, put on low heat, bring to a boil while stirring. We dilute the starch in water, add it to the boiling mass, add lemon juice, bring it to a boil, remove it from the heat, add another 250 g of chopped strawberries, mix.

Place the rest of the strawberries on the cooled cake, pour the cooked mass, leave to cool, put in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
