Sweet pepper with tuna

Spain has a great variety of tasty and light snacks. Sweet pepper with tuna it is perfect both on the “first table” as a snack (both cold and hot) and as an addition to a hot meal. The delicate taste of tuna with the delicate smell of Bulgarian sweet pepper will beautifully decorate your table, especially if you choose different colors of peppers. So we offer a tasty and easy recipe from the oceanic regions.

Sweet pepper with tuna – ingredients

  • Sweet bell pepper (different colors) – 12 pcs. (medium size).
  • Canned tuna – 2 cans (195 g each).
  • Chicken egg – 2 pc.
  • Onion (medium) – 2 pcs. (
  • Garlic – 3 cloves.
  • Sour cream – 150
  • Ground breadcrumbs – 3-4 tbsp. l.
  • Parsley greens – 1 bunch.
  • Olive oil, salt, pepper.

Sweet pepper with tuna – recipe

We wash the peppers, leave 2 of them to make a sauce, and cut off the tops of the others and clean the middle.

Open the fish, drain the water and shred it with a fork. Add chopped parsley, ground breadcrumbs, sour cream and eggs.

Pass the garlic through a press and add to the mass. Mix everything well, salt and pepper to taste.

Fill the peppers with the filling and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 180° until golden.

Prepare the sauce: cut the 2 peppers left earlier into strips. Clean and dice the onion. Stew peppers with onions for 10-15 minutes, salt and pepper. Cool the stewed vegetables and make a sauce by whipping with a blender.

Ready stuffed peppers with tuna are served with boiled potatoes or rice, doused with sauce.
