Thick cherry jam

Thick cherry jam is quite simple to cook and does not take much time. And in winter, several jars of such jam will be a real find.

Thick cherry jam – ingredients

  • Cherry (pitted) – 1 kg.
  • Sugar – 1 kg.

We wash the collected berries, sort them, dry them, remove the stones, weigh them, put them in a pan. Pour in the same amount of sugar 1:1, leave for about 1 hour until the sugar turns pink, then shake the pan so that the sugar falls to the bottom (do not stir).

We put the pan on gas, on a small fire, bring to a boil, boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.

We put the jam on the stove again on the lowest heat, boil for 5 minutes from boiling. Let it cool down again. We repeat the procedure 2 more times.

Pour the hot jam into sterile jars and cover hermetically with lids. Bon appetit!
