Preparation of sun-dried tomatoes

Wash and dry the tomatoes. Cut lengthwise and scoop out the core (seed). Lay the halves cut side down on a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

Grease the oven rack with olive oil and place the tomato halves cut side up on it. Salt, sprinkle with sugar and your favorite herbs.

Turn on the oven at 80 degrees and put the tomatoes in it to dry for 8-10 hours. Cut the garlic into slices.

Transfer the tomatoes to a sterilized jar, alternating with the garlic, and cover with olive oil. Done!

Such tomatoes can be added to salty oatmeal for breakfast, to sandwiches or pasta. And the rest of the olive oil, after consuming the tomatoes, can be added to salads or rice.
