Turkish salad

A simple and very tasty red cabbage salad called Turkish salad. Why such a name. the story is silent, maybe named after the country from which it originates, or maybe this salad has nothing to do with Turkey. However, this is not important, what matters is the taste of the salad – a very interesting combination of ingredients, but in the end – a sophisticated taste.

Turkish salad – ingredients

  • Red cabbage – 500 g.
  • Canned corn – 220 g.
  • Olive oil – 1 tbsp.
  • Pickled cucumbers – 6 pieces.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves.
  • Natural yogurt – 180 ml.
  • Mayonnaise – 3 st.l.
  • Sour apple – 1 piece.
  • Salt.

Turkish salad – recipe

Shred the cabbage very thinly, fry it in olive oil for about 4 minutes on medium heat. Lightly salt and cool.

Mix yogurt with mayonnaise, add corn, chopped cucumbers, finely chopped garlic, mix.

Sour apple, peel, cut into cubes, add to salad, immediately add yogurt with mayonnaise, mix. Add salt if necessary.
