Tzatziki sauce with pickles

Tzatziki sauce is pronounced “tzatsiki”, “dzadzigi” and “dzadziki”. It really doesn’t matter what it’s called, the main thing is to cook it and enjoy its taste.

For cooking tzatziki, fresh cucumber and fresh greens are usually used, but we can prepare the version with sour cucumbers even in the cold season.

Usually, tzatziki is prepared from thick natural yogurt (preferably homemade, of course). But if you don’t have such yogurt, and you really want tzatziki, you can replace it with sour cream (15%) or a mixture of drinkable yogurt and sour cream.

Pour the yogurt into a deep bowl. Cut the cucumbers into small cubes or rub them on a coarse grater, squeeze out the juice. Finely chop the greens.

Mix everything, add chopped garlic. Salt, pepper. We put it in the refrigerator. The sauce should be infused for several hours.
