Vegetable bowl with Greek yogurt
Bowl is a fashionable trend in modern nutrition. Translated from English, the term means “deep plate” or “soup bowl”. In our country, first courses or a small portion of salad are served in such dishes. In Western countries, they bring everything, even desserts, to guests in deep plates. Initially, “Bowl” is food for vegans, it included food of plant origin. Today, this type of food has a greater variety. It is an interesting fact that bowls took the top place in the menu of the best establishments around the world! Because this is a certain “food designer” that helps increase the amount of consumption of fresh and healthy products in a person’s diet. Fragrant greens, juicy fruits, fragrant vegetables, sprouts, seeds – you can mix your breakfast or lunch with all this.
Vegetable bowl with Greek yogurt – ingredients
- Carrot 1 pcs.
- Bulgarian sweet pepper 1 pc.
- 2 yellow tomatoes
- Radish 4 pcs.
- 2 eggs
- Canned tuna in pieces 200 g.
- A handful of salad (mix).
- Yogurt (Greek) 2 cups.
- Onion (green chopped) â…“ cup.
- Basil (chopped) â…“ cup.
- Mint (chopped) ¼ cup.
- Garlic 2 cloves.
- Olive oil 3 tbsp. l.
- Lemon (juice) 3 tbsp. l.
Vegetable bowl with Greek yogurt – recipe
Grate young carrots on a fine grater. Transfer to a bowl, pour 1 tbsp. l. lemon juice and 1 tbsp. l. olive oil. Prepare the dressing: mix in a blender 2 tbsp. l. lemon juice, 2 tbsp. l. olive oil, Greek yogurt, garlic, green onions, mint and basil.
Hard-boil the eggs, peel and cut in half. Chop the sweet bell pepper into slices.
Cut the radish into thin circles, and the tomatoes into slices.
Submission and presentation
Put the carrot mixture, pepper, lettuce, radish, tomatoes, tuna on a plate – all next to each other. And egg halves from above. Add some dressing on top, you can decorate with chickpea sprouts, toasted peeled pumpkin seeds or olives.
If you want a more nutritious dish, you can use sweet potato, red rice, couscous or quinoa as the basis of such a bowl. Or you can add chicken wings, tofu soy cheese or different types of milk cheese. Also, this dish can easily be made in a sweet version. Thanks to the mixture of fruits, raisins, nuts, berries, honey and caramel!
