Very tasty shortbread cookies

Today we will prepare very soft and lush, fragile and crispy shortbread cookies. The process of making such cookies is very simple and easy. Even a novice hostess can do it.

Shortbread cookies – ingredients

  • Yeast (dry) – 1 tsp.
  • Water (warm) – 2 tbsp.
  • Flour – 250 g.
  • Egg – 1 piece.
  • Sugar – 30 g + for sprinkling.
  • Oil – 125
  • Vanillin – to taste.
  • Salt – a pinch.

Shortbread cookies – preparation

Dilute the yeast in 2 tbsp. warm water

Sift flour into a bowl, add sugar, salt, vanilla, butter cut into pieces, egg and diluted yeast. Knead a smooth homogeneous dough.

We leave the dough for 1,5-2 hours, at room temperature, so that it fits.

We roll out the dough 5-7 mm thick. We cut cookies with a mold, you can just use a glass, or cut them with a knife into pieces. Dip one side of the dough in sugar. Place the cookies on a baking sheet and bake until golden brown.
