Ingredients for cooking warm potato salad with herring

  • potatoes – 600 g.
  • herring in dill marinade – 250 g.
  • chopped black olives – 1 tbsp.
  • boiled eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Dijon mustard – 2 tsp.
  • green onion – 4 pcs.
  • cucumbers – 2 pcs.
  • natural yogurt – 8 tbsp.
  • salt, black, ground pepper – to taste.

Preparation of warm potato salad with herring:

Wash, clean and pour the potatoes with boiling water. Let’s cook until done. Drain the water. If the potato is very large, mash it a little with a fork.

For dressing, combine mustard, mayonnaise and yogurt. Mix everything well. Add washed and chopped green onion and washed, peeled and chopped cucumber. While the potatoes are warm, season them with the dressing. Mix everything well. Peel the eggs, cut them into 4 parts and put them on top of the salad. Cut the herring into pieces and also put it on top of the salad. Sprinkle with chopped olives. Salt and pepper to taste.
