Warm salad with beans and sprats
Salad with beans and sprats – a great option for a quick snack or for an unexpected visit of guests. The only thing is that in this case you will have to use canned beans. But if you have time, make this salad according to the classic recipe. You won’t regret it.
Warm salad with beans and sprats – ingredients
- white beans (boiled or canned) – 400 g.
- medium-sized carrots – 1 pcs.
- onion – 1 pcs.
- eggs – 2 pcs.
- sprats – 1 can.
- salt, ground black pepper – to taste.
- milled zira – to taste.
- olÑ–ya
- lemon juice (optional)

Drain the water from the cooked beans. If you chose canned food, try to remove excess liquid.
Grate the carrots on a medium-sized grater. Cut the onion into small pieces and fry over low heat. When it acquires a golden color, add carrots to the pan.
Stew the vegetables for 2-3 minutes. Meanwhile, peel the hard-boiled eggs. And cut them into large pieces. If desired, either in rings or large slices.
Transfer warm vegetables to a large bowl and mix well with beans and spices. Put the vegetables and beans on a plate. Top with a few sprats and eggs. You can sprinkle lemon juice on top.
As an option, it is suggested to lay out the ingredients in layers, smearing each layer with mayonnaise. The order is as follows: sprats – beans, carrots mixed with onions, eggs. This will turn out to be much more caloric. However, even without mayonnaise, the salad will turn out to be quite hearty and not dry – the oil in which the onions were fried is enough to make the dish tender and juicy.
Instead of sprats, you can use herring fillets, and add half an apple to the vegetables.
