Warming non-alcoholic drinks – something to warm up in bad weather

Hot summer weather is replaced by damp autumn and cold winter, and cold drinks on our table give way to warming ones, which are simply indispensable at this time of year. Today Smakota (Smakotainfo.com) offers original and very tasty recipes warming soft drinks. Such drinks will not only warm you up, but also strengthen your immunity.

Warming non-alcoholic drinks: non-alcoholic mulled wine

Mulled wine is a wine-based hot drink. Traditionally, various fruits (most often lemons or oranges) and spices are added to it. It can be drunk for pleasure or used as a remedy against colds, exhaustion, insomnia and depression. And to prepare non-alcoholic mulled wine, you need to replace the wine with juice.

Non-alcoholic mulled wine – ingredients

  • Grape juice – 1 l.
  • Sour juice (any) – 300 ml.
  • Carnation – 6 flowers.
  • Bodian – 3 stars.
  • Ground cardamom – 1/3 tsp.
  • Ginger root (grated) – 1 tbsp. with bitter (or 1 tsp dry).
  • Cinnamon – 1/3 tsp.
  • Lemon – 5 circles (focus on your taste).
  • Nutmeg – on the tip of a knife.

Non-alcoholic mulled wine – preparation

First, it is best to mix all the dry ingredients, i.e. seasonings. Then you can start heating the juice, for this we choose a pot NOT made of aluminum. You cannot boil the juice, the fire must be turned off immediately after the first small bubbles appear. Now you can add spices and lemon, mix everything. Wrap the non-alcoholic mulled wine with a warm blanket (you can pour it into a thermos together with all the ingredients) and let it brew for 30-40 minutes so that the spices give the drink its taste and aroma.

Warming non-alcoholic drinks: hot chocolate with ginger

Recently, various drinks with the addition of ginger have become very popular. Especially when ginger began to be used to prepare tea, which helps fight excess weight. It is very often added to various complex medicinal preparations, because it has a warming, expectorant, analgesic, antimicrobial effect, increases the body’s resistance to infections.

Hot chocolate with ginger – ingredients

  • Water – 450 ml.
  • Dry ginger – 2 tsp. (without slide).
  • Honey – 3 tbsp.
  • Milk – 450 ml.
  • Salt – 1 pinch.
  • Dark chocolate – 110 g.

Hot chocolate with ginger – preparation

Break the chocolate into small pieces. Pour milk and water into a saucepan, add salt, honey, chocolate and ground ginger. We put the pan on a small fire and, while stirring, heat it until the chocolate is completely dissolved, and then quickly bring it to a boil and remove it from the heat. Pour the hot drink into glasses and immediately serve it to the table.

Warming non-alcoholic drinks: non-alcoholic grog

Ingredients for making non-alcoholic grog

  • Water – 4 cups.
  • Black leaf tea (without flavors) – 3 tbsp.
  • Honey – 2 tbsp.
  • Allspice peas – 4 peas.
  • Carnation – 4 flowers.
  • Cinnamon – 2 tsp.
  • Lemon – 1 pcs.

Preparation of non-alcoholic grog

We brew strong tea. Boil the specified amount of water in a kettle or pan. While the water is boiling, pour black tea leaves into a hot teapot for brewing, and then pour half of the boiling water over them. Infuse the tea for about 7 minutes, during which time you need to thoroughly wash the lemon and cut it in half, along with the peel.

Pour the strong tea strained through a strainer into the pot in which the boiling water remains, add the mentioned spices and put on fire. Boil the grog over low heat for about 3-4 minutes so that the tea absorbs the aroma of the spices. Then we add lemon halves to the pan, you can squeeze a little juice at the same time. Stir the grog and turn off the heat. Cover the pot with a lid and let the drink infuse for about half an hour. Then we heat the grog so that it becomes hot, add a couple of tablespoons of honey and stir so that it dissolves. Before serving, grog should be strained to get rid of the remains of spices and lemon.

Non-alcoholic apple cider – ingredients

  • Apple juice – 2 l.
  • Orange – 1 piece.
  • Pear – 1 piece.
  • Lemon – 1 piece.
  • Cinnamon – 1 stick.
  • A small piece of fresh ginger.
  • Cloves – 3-4 flowers.

Non-alcoholic apple cider – preparation

Heat apple juice over medium heat and bring to a boil. Cut the fruit into thin slices and add to the boiling apple juice.

Grate the ginger and add it to the cider along with the other spices. Boil the drink for 5-10 minutes, then turn off the heat and keep under the lid for an hour. Pour into glasses and enjoy.

Warming non-alcoholic drinks: tea latte

Tea latte – ingredients

  • Milk – 1 glass.
  • Water – 1 glass.
  • Black tea – 1 tbsp.
  • Black pepper – 2 peas.
  • Cardamom – 3 green pods (crush with a knife).
  • Carnation – 3 flowers.
  • Cinnamon – 1 stick.
  • Ginger – 2,5 cm (peeled and thinly sliced).
  • Vanilla – 1 pod.
  • Honey or sugar – 1 tbsp. (or to taste).

Tea latte – preparation

Mix pepper, ground cardamom pods, cloves, ginger, vanilla pod with seeds and cinnamon stick in a bowl. Combine the spices and water in a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil, cover the pan with a lid and cook for five minutes over low heat.

Put loose leaf black tea in a saucepan and continue to cook on low heat for another five minutes. While the tea is brewing, heat the milk. Be careful not to burn the milk, it will affect the taste of the latte. Strain the tea mixture into a cup through a fine-mesh strainer. Fill the cup half or two-thirds full.

Add the hot milk, filling the mug to the top. Add sugar or honey to taste.
