Wheat porridge with chicken curry – ingredients
- For 2 servings:
- Wheat porridge – 2 bags.
- Chicken fillet – 300-350 g.
- Onion – 1 pc.
- Seasoning for chicken, curry, salt, pepper.
- Olive oil.
Wheat porridge with curry chicken – recipe
First, we marinate the chicken: we wash the meat, wipe it with paper towels, and cut it into large pieces. Add spices (about half a teaspoon), salt and pepper to taste. Chop the onion, add 2 tbsp. l. olive oil for aroma and mix everything well.
Next, we put the chicken fillet on the pan and stew it under a closed lid.
For this dish, we recommend buying wheat porridge in bags. It is sold in small quantities, which will prevent it from spoiling if you do not cook it often, but want to have cereals in your kitchen for variety. And you also don’t have to worry about it burning or adding too much (not enough) water, because it will cook perfectly in the package.
So, we take a banyak, pour hot water into it so that it boils faster and put 2 bags of wheat porridge. Cook for about 10 minutes. (when the bags with porridge have increased in size, it can be considered ready).
We take the bags out of the banyak, hold them for a while so that the excess water runs out and pour the porridge into the pan with the meat.
Mix everything well and hold for another 1-2 minutes. under a closed lid so that the flavors combine.
