Zucchini caviar in a steamer

Smakota (Smakotainfo.com) offers a recipe for delicious zucchini caviar in a steamer. This recipe can be called lazy zucchini caviar. Simply throw the washed vegetables into the steamer and bring to a boil, grind with a blender and add spices – the caviar is ready!

Recipe for cooking zucchini caviar in a steamer

  • zucchini – 1 piece (about 2,5 kg in unpeeled form).
  • onion – 2 pieces.
  • carrots – 3 pieces.
  • tomato – 2 pieces.
  • salt – 2 tsp.
  • sugar – 4 tsp.
  • black pepper
  • bay leaf – 1 piece.
  • oil – 2 tbsp.

We take the largest zucchini, clean it, cut it into 4 parts, remove the seeds. (The proportions of the components can be varied to taste). We clean onions and carrots, put them in a steamer, put washed tomatoes and peeled zucchini there. Turn on the steamer for 1 hour 15 minutes.

When the steamer turns off, put all the vegetables in a colander to drain excess liquid. Remove the skin from the tomato. Next, beat all the vegetables with a blender, add salt, sugar, spices (if it is thick, you can add the liquid that dripped from the vegetables), oil, bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

Absolutely dietary caviar is ready.
